IVES 'PHOENIX' PAINTED CAST IRON 19th CENTURY FIRE PUMPER

This circa 1895 IVES toy fire pumper retains most of its original paint along with its original driver, horses, firefighter and eagle.

The Ives Manufacturing Company was an American toy manufacturer from 1868 to 1932. It was founded by Edward Ives, a descendant of Plymouth colony governor William Bradford, in Plymouth, Connecticut.

In the 1880's, Ives produced sophisticated cast-iron fire-fighting trucks and equipment.

Condition: Original played with condition. No damage, repaint or repairs are evident.
